I'm playing around with a few of my favorite scarves today! I love that you can take a simple, solid colored t-shirt and spice it up with a pretty, printed scarf! It adds just the right amount of character and to any outfit!

Black on Black is the trend of the day, at least it was in my closet this morning! I decided to wear this shear black blouse I got at Forever 21 a while back and paired it with a beige cami. It was still a bit to cold to wear just the top by itself, so out came my new moto jacket! Yay! Add in my new snake skin heels and you have an awesome thursday outfit!

How was everyones weekend? Are you all freezing your behinds off like we are here in Texas?!

It is fa-fa-fa-reezing here!

 

So, if you caught on, this is the shirt I just baught this past weekend. I usually don't jump right to wearing new clothes (wierd right?!) but this top jumped out at me this morning. I usually wait a while, create a few outfits with it, then sport it. But not today!!

 

I chose to wear gold jewelry with it because I thought it would make it pop with the darker colors behind it. Gold is another thing I never used to wear.. but as I get older I realize how well it goes with my skin tone. So to all my fair skinned ladies out there, wear gold! It looks good. ;)

Hello My Loves!!!

 

I'm finally back to feeling better, thank you Jesus!! In honor of being back to 100%, I did a little shopping...

Ok, ok, I was just super tired of being couped up in the house for a week straight...and happen to live down the street from every store known to man...don't judge.

By the way, Target is having a great sale on shoes! So go grab a pair....or four.

I found this beauty at Marshalls and it was on clearance! Double awesome!

 

 

And then my light bulb went off and I realized my new booties go PERFECT with my new purse. I love little surprises that happen like that! 

 

 

I baught this bad boy at H&M.

I had been eyeing this leather moto jacket since before christmas and when I magically got a gift card to H&M, destiney stepped in.

Cha-ching!!!

 

The striped blouse I got at Ross for a super steal. (Gah, I love that place) It all flows so well together, don't you think?  I can't wait to create outfits to go with my new shoes, I'm like a kid in a candy store!

 

Disclaimer: I usually don't buy four pairs of shoes at a time but I've been needing some new work shoes, and when Target has them for about $15 pair, you don't ask questions. :)

Orange love

Hello My Loves!!

Happy Friday to all!  Can I get a TGIF? ;)

 

OK, this is my first time to really sport the color orange. It's just never a color that has graced my closet very much over the years. Sooooo...when I was making laps around Marshalls a while back and saw this orange clutch, my loving it totally took me by surprise. Call it branching out?

 

That led me to my next dilema, (these are the best kinds of dilemas to be in!!) I had nothing to wear it with! I picked up this little plaid number a few days later and it caught my eye becuase of the subtle orange lines in it. I didn't have to commit to the color orange fully just yet, I could take it for a test drive first.

Awesome!

Hello My Loves!!

 

Is everyone still alive after new years? ;)

 I foresee lots of headache medicine and sleeping ...ha!

 

In this post I've included two outfits, one for work, and one thats casual. I kept this work outfit pretty easy focusing on the color white because I love the simplicity of it.

The casual outfit is about as comfortable and simple as it gets as well. It's been quite chilly here in Texas so I layered a purple sweater over leggings and boots. Its a casual way to stay warm with out having to bundle up too, too much.

Just a glimpse

Just a glimpse at how my new year went!!

 

I ended up in this sparkly number because in my mind, glitter and new years go hand-in-hand.

Ya dig? :)

 

The BF and I kept it pretty low key this year because where we live can get pretty crazy. We have people who can't drive when they're sober that live around here, much less adding beer, liquor, and champagne in the mix, noooooooo thanks. So we went to dinner, a movie, and then ended the night in front of the fire pit while the rain serenaded us into a new year.

It was glorious.
